Good Evening Friends!
This e-mail is full of good news! First, after several attempts at getting all of the wording right, we now have State of Nebraska approval to be a non-profit and an EIN (employer identification number)! It may not seem like a big deal but we could not be more excited to see progress after months of waiting! We all met the other day to work together, encourage each other, and praise God for all that He has done so far through this project. We feel so blessed that God has allowed us to take part in this, even if it's a little overwhelming sometimes. For example, I (Tina) am experiencing for the first time the joys of government paperwork, and I am so scared to mess everything up. But, step by step we go. The two things in progress now are opening a bank account and finishing the Federal paperwork. Turns out the process of making everything legal is expensive! Because of the expense involved, we decided to launch a small group of fundraisers. The first one allows you to buy a t-shirt, sweatshirt, or hoodie with our logo on it. So, for the next nine days, you can go to THIS LINK and purchase whichever you like. They will be shipped straight to you in a few weeks. All the proceeds go to filing fees and start-up costs.
Also, we would love it if you shared the fundraiser on your social media! Also, we will be doing some giveaways and other stuff for sale on our Facebook page. Our prayer requests for this month:
- That we are able to turn in our Federal paperwork soon and that it gets approved in a timely manner. (We are told anywhere from one month to two years is the time for processing).
- Pray as we continue to work on the little details that will (hopefully) set us up for success when we open the doors. Things like applications, program details, figuring out staff positions, etc.
- Pray for our unity as a team. We are doing well but as we make bigger and bigger decisions we could encounter some tension and differences of opinions. We thank you for being part of this ministry. We appreciate and love every one of you. We could not do this without our fantastic support systems. We would love to hear from you!
