Happy March! I am sitting here writing this and loving how nice and springy it is outside! I am pretending that tomorrow isn’t supposed to snow. But, we have had a special month. The three of us had a planning retreat. It was good to reconnect, think, plan, pray, and dream about the future of Covered Waters. We were able to think through what we wanted then young women to take away from their experience with us, how we want to structure life in the house, and better know our limitations to what situation we can’t handle. We also spent significant amount of time planning the rest of the years fundraisers and events to gain support (both in volunteers and monetary). This month I want to focus on what we came up with for the pillars of our program. Listed below is a brief outline of the 5 pillars that we came up with. We want everything we do to support the mothers and their children in those five areas. We hope to be able to support the young women and give them the necessary tools to have a well rounded and fulfilling life. You can also go to our website to read a little more about our program. Next month we want to tell you all about our different events in 2023 and how you can join us, pray for us, help with them, etc. So, stay tuned!
