Happy May! Summer weather is here and I am not ready for it. Anyone else wish it could be sunny and 60 forever? Anyway, earlier this week was Fremont Area Big Give. Thank you to everyone who shared our posts, supported us and gave! We received $2,360 and we were the youngest non profit that participated! This last month has been a month of the board and leadership having big conversations about Covered Waters and how we envision the future looking. We are excited for how God its leading and ready to continue moving forward with all the things! Lately people have been asking where we are in the process. Well, good question! Right now we are in the fundraising process hard core. While we wish we could just buy a house tomorrow and open it next week, we can’t do that without funds. So setting up fundraisers, writing grants and praying God opens doors. We are also elbow deep in making sure we do everything we can to set us up before we open. It is all things that aren’t super exciting to share about and less. fun to do =) But, policies, applications, handbooks, insurance, finding accountants and lawyers, staying legal with the gov’t and figuring everything out. See, not super exciting! But it is important progress! Our next event is a big garage sale in August. More information on that in the coming months. But, if you want to donate your gently used garage sale stuff to that, we would love to take it! I mean, isn't it spring cleaning time? Make pile for us!
