Happy Sunday Friends! As I sit down to write this I can not think of a better way to start this email…..
GOD IS UP TO SOMETHING BIG! This year has started off pretty slow, lots of boring tax and gov’t paperwork to continue to stay legal. Working on understanding grants and the best ways to market ourselves for that. Really just doing a lot of behind the scenes stuff. But… things are ramping up!
- We are doing a very small bracelet fundraiser, see details below! Only one week to get your orders in!
- We have a date for our first BIG in person fundraiser. October 29th at Camp Rivercrest. It will be a family fun event, so mark your calendars!
- The three of us are having a big planning retreat in two weeks. We plan on spending time brainstorming, praying, planning, and dreaming about Covered Waters. We hope to walk away from that with our program details, a better idea on how YOU can help us, fundraising ideas, etc. Please be in prayer for this time.
- We have had so many people reach out to us with household items that we can have for covered waters! We have rented a small storage unit for the year!
- We have had some exciting BIG developments in the last two weeks. I can not announce them yet as they are still unfolding but I will say… God is providing in ways that we could have NEVER EVEN DREAMED OF! We will let you know as soon as we can! We praise God for His faithfulness and ability to show up in ways that just blow us away. There is no way that we can deny that God has his fingerprints all over every aspect.
Please Pray for….
- Our planning retreat in two weeks. Pray that we can get a lot of good planning done, that we have fun spending time together as a team and that we walk away a little refreshed!
- For the grants and fundraising efforts that are underway.
- Just like everyone else, the three of us have so much going on. Since we are just starting up we don’t yet get paid from CW, so we are all still working full time along with getting this up and running. Plus… family, medical stuff, foster care, construction of an apartment, kids, husbands, dogs, too many plants, etc. Pray that God keeps giving us the strength to “do it all” and that we listen if there are parts of our lives that we need to slow down. Pray that we continue to be a good team, can communicate clearly, and that we can continue being creative together. There is no different people than I (Tina) want to do Covered Waters with than Bailey and Katie. They are truly amazing. But also, you guys. You ARE our people! We can not do this alone and we thank each and every one of you. You come along side us in so many ways! It is so humbling and encouraging! Thank you so much! In Him,
